MLB DFS - Million Dollar Musings - Friday, September 25th

Happy Friday and welcome to the final Musings of the 2020 regular season. This year came and went in a hurry, but thank to everyone who has been hanging out with me here in this bizarre season. This feels like one of those movies that starts out dull, then gets really interesting and you want to see what happens, and then all of a sudden the credits start rolling, and everyone just sits there wondering if it’s really over. We don’t even know who did it! Was it all a dream? Who was that guy in the mask?

We’ve got a 9-game slate on FD and Yahoo, with DK including the first half of a doubleheader in San Francisco to make a 10-game slate. The closer we get to the end of the season, the funkier things can get with lineups and pitch counts, but as I’ve been saying all week, it’s not nearly as bad as most seasons. We still have more teams that usual in the playoff race, and with the shorter season, there isn’t as much need for rest. But tonight we’ve got three aces who are all pitching for teams that have already clinched playoff spots, so it is going to be a little tricky here. Let’s take a look under the hood and see what we find.

Friday Night Pitching

The first thing I’m going to tell you about this slate is that I am not going to be playing cash games in these final three days. There are just too many unknowns, so I will just be looking at tournaments. I’ll still talk you through my thoughts in all formats, but I always want to be transparent about what I’m doing. It’s a little easier to say ‘so and so is a cash game play’ if it’s just theoretical.
