MLB DFS - Million Dollar Musings - Monday, September 7th

Hey y’all, Labor Day! If some of you have this as a day off, let’s enjoy it with some baseball! Typically, we get a full early slate of games, but with this season being different in every way, we’ve got just a three-game early slate, and the main slate will be a 6:05 ET start with six games. I’ll focus on the six-game slate, but let’s take a quick peek at these early games, since we’ve got bigger contests than a typical small slate.

Early Slate Pitching

Ian Anderson vs Marlins – So far so good for the Braves rookie, with 14 strikeouts and two walks in his first 12 major league innings. His strikeout ability looks as good as advertised, and he’s even getting ground balls so far to go along with them. I’m still a little nervous about his shaky control from the minors, but on a small slate without a lot of options, yeah, I’m going to buy in. FanDuel has priced him way up as the top ace here, which does not take him out of tournament consideration, but does put him at third on my list for points per dollar projection. On DK, he’s down at $8,000, cheaper than Wheeler and even Peterson, and there he’s a core play for me.
