MLB DFS - Million Dollar Musings - Thursday, September 10th

Happy Thursday! We’ve got a smaller 6-game slate tonight as some other sport is also getting started this evening. This is a slate with one clear top ace followed by a couple other strong pitching options, except that one obvious ace in the diciest weather situation of the day. As I’m writing this early in the morning, it’s hard to imagine them playing baseball in New York tonight, so I’m going to look at the pitching slate from two different views, one with Gerrit Cole, and one without. Kevin Roth will update the weather throughout the day to let us know if anything changes in New York.

Thursday Night Pitching

ONE ACE, HOPEFULLY, BUT DON’T COUNT ON IT

Gerrit Cole vs Orioles – The home runs are not slowing down for Cole, but neither are the strikeouts. He’s back up to a 32.9% strikeout rate and still climbing, and DK has him priced at just $10,300. If this game plays, just use Cole and get on with your night. It is that simple. It’s not quite as simple on FD, as you might consider the next couple options ahead of Cole in cash games, but I would still recommend just playing Cole if possible. I’m not going to spend any more time on this one right now, and wait to get some clarity on this weather in New York.
