MLB DFS - Million Dollar Musings - Tuesday, September 22nd

Happy Tuesday! We’ve got an 11-game slate tonight with limited pitching options, but at the same time, there’s not a lot that jumps out on the hitting side either. It’s whole bunch of games stuck somewhere between 8.5-10 run totals, which gives us a lot of choices, but not a lot of great choices. I’m going to jump right in and see if things start to sort themselves out as we dig in.

Tuesday Night Pitching

I generally like to sort the pitching options into tiers and look at them by groups, but we don’t really have any tiers or groups tonight. The only two pitchers who sort of stand out are Blake Snell and Framber Valdez, but beyond that, Zach Davies is the next best pitcher on this slate, and the most expensive arm on both DK and FD. Nothing against Davies who is having an excellent season, but that tells us pretty much everything we need to know about this slate. For the sake of formatting, I’ll put those first three pitchers in Tier One and then just call everybody else Tier Two.

Blake Snell at Mets – Snell has been a quiet ace again this season with another 30% strikeout rate and continuing to reign in his control with an 8.3% walk rate.
