MLB DFS - Million Dollar Musings - Wednesday, August 26th

Happy Wednesday! The first order of business here is to touch on this mess with MLB delaying games, and then waiting just a few minutes before postponing them after lock, when they clearly don’t need to be postponed. Not having fans at these games has made it much tougher to predict whether or not they are going to wait out these spots that would usually just be a short delay and nothing more. Because we’ve seen this a couple times now, my initial reaction is to avoid players in cash games who are in a delayed start. But past that, we’ve still seen far more times when it’s been the usual wait and play, and I don’t plan to change my approach in large field tournaments. It’s annoying as all get-out when it happens, and I wouldn’t blame you at all if you take the stance to simply avoid delayed games at this point even in tournaments. The good news for tonight, is that outside of the very real life trouble on the Gulf Coast, the baseball games being played tonight shouldn’t be affected by weather.

One big item of note is that FanDuel is starting their main slate early at 6:37pm ET to include two more games, so if you’re playing there tonight, be sure to set your alarm ahead.
