What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: While I will continue to MME with early season baseball, I’m a little more focused on smaller-field and single-entry tournaments tonight. This is because I have a smaller pool of primary options on both the pitching and hitting sides. I will not overthink it with Spencer Schwellenbach as the SP1, and then I want as much Arizona and Atlanta as I can afford. Between those two, I prefer Arizona, while leaning more towards Atlanta power bats. There is nothing sneaky about any of that, but there are endless varieties of individual bats with upside to surround those stacks with.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on single-entry and 3-entry max contests. I will also use SimLabs and LineupHQ to build a 20-entry max lineup. I’m going to build around Spencer Schwellenbach. I think he’s the clear-cut top option on today’s slate. I’m going to be overweight on Atlanta and Texas bats. Both of these offenses have struggled to start the season, but they’re in great spots tonight. Arizona is the other offense I’m going to be overweight on.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – I plan to be overweight on Spencer Schwellenbach and the Braves bats tonight. From there, I’m willing to take on some risk with my SP2 with the strikeout upside of Jesus Luzardo or the savings from Brandon Pfaadt if I need them. Outside of Arizona and Atlanta, I will likely build around stacks in games where weather won’t impact the offenses, with the Reds and Rangers being my favorite stacks to get different.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. Additionally, early in the year I have been dabbling in the H2H and 50/50 streets. In cash games I’d for sure play Spencer Schwellenbach and I think you can go double barrel and pair him with Yoshinobu Yamamoto as pitching depth falls pretty quickly and there are plenty of good cheap bats to make it work. There are no team totals above 5 or optimal weather spots, so I’ll be more open to homer hunt with 5-1-1-1/3-3-1-1 type lineup iterations.
