MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, June 7

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Yordan Alvarez
squirrelpatrol: Yordan Alvarez
boggslite: Yordan Alvarez
ebeimfohr: Yordan Alvarez
Alex Sonty: Yordan Alvarez

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

CheeseIsGood: Garrett Crochet – I assume Crochet will be one of the three highest-owned pitchers, but it’s so easy to find good matchups to save salary with that I don’t think the ownership will be that much of an issue. Crochet is the highest strikeout pitcher on this slate by a wide margin, and he’s also facing a Boston team with the highest strikeout rate in the league against left-handed pitching this season.

squirrelpatrol: Michael King – King faces an Arizona team that ranks just 21st in K% on the season but has been striking out much more recently, ranking 8th in K% over the past 30 days. This game has the lowest run total on the slate, and King and the Padres are slight favorites, giving the Diamondbacks the 3rd-lowest implied run total on the board. King has a healthy 25.4% K% on the season but is coming in at a significant pOwn% discount to the other top options at pitcher today.

boggslite: Garrett Crochet – The young lefty has burst onto the scene this season with a 2.49 SIERA and a 33.7% strikeout rate which tops all pitchers on tonight’s slate. Tonight, he faces a watered-down Red Sox lineup that has combined for the highest strikeout rate against LHP this season and recently made Max Fried look like Randy Johnson. He may ultimately be the highest-owned pitcher, but he is the definition of “good chalk” on a night where plenty of cheaper options are capable of bombing.

ebeimfohr: Garrett Crochet – he’s a tougher fit on FD (where the win is also a bit more of a concern), and his ownership is something to consider depending upon your stacks, but Crochet looks to be the best pitching option on the board. He has the single highest strikeout rate in baseball amongst starting pitchers at 33.7% with an incredible 2.50 xFIP. I have been targeting the Red Sox with left-handed pitching all season, as their best hitters are left-handed and they strike out like crazy vs. LHP.

Alex Sonty: Garrett Crochet – Lefties against the Red Sox have been a thing all season, and we’re not stopping tonight. Boston’s projected lineup has a 28.1% K rate versus southpaws, while Crochet is dominating to the tune of a 30.9% K rate with BB and barrel rates allowed of just 5.4%.
