MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, June 29
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Otto Lopez
ebeimfohr: Pete Crow-Armstrong
boggslite: Otto Lopez
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am playing large-field tournaments that have multiple entries. There are several solid pitching options at the top of the projections, and the pOWN% seems to lump them all into the same bucket. So I’ll condense my pitching pool down to about five guys and go overweight on a couple of them. There are some great weather-driven hitting spots, so I’ll be fully stacking each of my lineups on both sites, making sure I am overweight on the teams playing in the best MLB weather environments.
ebeimfohr: I am generally more of a smaller-field player, but I do think tonight is plenty appealing for large-field tournaments as well. Even the best projected hitting and pitching spots have legitimate flaws or red flags, whether that be the hitting matchup, bullpens, platoon risk, etc. That creates some pretty major ways in which you can play teams with low pOWN% across the board and still find very legitimate upside and under-owned options. That’s generally my focus, as I’m going to be really picky about eating any chalk and let my opponents largely beat themselves with some more popular plays that come with red flags.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Paying up for pitching on DK will be a priority for me. The top four pitchers won’t break the bank but have nice upside based on their matchups, and I don’t plan on dropping below that tier unless I have to. On the hitting side, there is so much to love that I plan on spreading my exposure around, hoping one or more teams break the slate.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
