What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 10 entries into the larger-field tournaments. This is not a day when I am going to get cute with my pitching choices. Garrett Crochet is so far ahead of the pack that I am just hitting the lock button on him, especially on DK where you need two pitchers. I don’t mind a punt choice like Janson Junk or Trevor Rogers in GPP builds, but they are far from locks. I will spread things out more on offense, incorporating some lower-owned stacks like the Cardinals and Royals.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I’ll be keeping a very tight pitching pool. Garrett Crochet is obviously the priority, but I’ll use cheap options like Brady Singer and Trevor Rogers to be able to afford high-end bats.

tcsmith031: As usual, I’ll focus on 20-max and single-entry tournaments. I don’t have any issue with eating most of the chalk (Garrett Crochet + Reds) in single-entry, as we’ve got plenty of options for getting different with SP2 and secondary stacks. The Pirates are my favorite secondary cheap stack overall, while I don’t mind the idea of targeting a chalky Brady Singer with some of the Rockies’ power bats (Hunter Goodman, Mickey Moniak, Michael Toglia). I’ll also keep going back to the well with the Orioles, Yankees, and Mets in multi-entry contests.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
