MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, May 30
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
stlcardinals84: Bobby Witt
Krayton: Bobby Witt
TJ Zwarych: Bobby Witt
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: This is one of the least exciting weekend slates we have had all season. There aren’t any true aces pitching, yet there aren’t any teams projected for high run totals. We are just going to see a whole lot of 4-2 or 5-3 type of games, and I don’t expect a high-scoring slate. I will be playing around 5-10 entries in the large-field tournaments, focusing my exposure on a wider pitching pool and a narrow group of stacks. I don’t expect ownership to be a major issue today, so you can play whomever you want with things likely to be spread out. My favorite stacks are the Pirates, Blue Jays, and Royals.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites. With quite a few of the teams having similar implied run totals, I like the idea of having a smaller pitching pool and then mixing in various stacks. Parker Messick, Drew Rasmussen, and Christian Scott are the pitchers I am going to be overweight on. The Pirates are my top stack, and then I will mix in stacks like TOR, MIN, and NYM.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments. I plan to take some shots on lower-owned pitchers to get different from the field. My favorite is Trey Yesavage, but I’ll also be playing some Christian Scott and Foster Griffin. The Pirates are my top stack, but I’ll be spreading my offenses pretty evenly across the slate.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
