MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, May 3

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stlcardinals84: Ketel Marte
Krayton: Ketel Marte
TastefulTides: Ketel Marte

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I am going to play around 25 entries in the large-field GPP contests. I really like this slate and have a lot of conviction on my preferred plays. Jesus Luzardo and Braxton Ashcraft are my favorite pitchers today. I love the Wrigley game with the wind blowing out, and I am going to stack up the Cubs and Diamondbacks in a number of different ways. Those are the clear spots I will absolutely be overweight on.

Krayton: I will be playing my usual single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites. We are getting a great Sunday slate with lots of great offenses, and although I will be on the popular Wrigley wind game with the Cubs and Diamondbacks, I will also be overweight on the Dodgers, who have disappointed lately. I love getting them at lower ownership. On FD, I will have just as much exposure to the Coors game on both sides, as ownership should be kept in check with the Wrigley game available.

TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max contests are my preferred format. Pitching seems to be fairly weak across the board, so I will likely be eating the chalk with Jesus Luzardo and Braxton Ashcraft. It’s tough to fade Wrigley when the wind is blowing out like it is today. I will be stacking the Cubs, but I will need to get different with my secondary stacks. I really like the Nationals and Phillies as teams with light projected ownership and strong matchups.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
