What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I’m playing just one lineup across a mix of large-field GPPs and single-entry contests. My build will be geared more toward smaller fields. With a few strong offenses on this short slate, I’m looking at a double stack—maybe a 5-3 or 4-3-1 setup. I want to build out my offense first and then just see what’s left over for pitching. With 10 starters on the slate, I think the top six guys (according to projections) are basically identical, and I’d feel comfortable playing any two of them.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and small-field contests. There are 5 baseball games, but there is nothing I can confidently say that I truly love. I plan on playing both sides of Taj Bradley and the Yankees, as I expect to have more than the field on both. Additionally, I’m good with rostering Bradley and a Yankee in the same lineup.
ebeimfohr: There is very little that I like on this slate, both with pitchers and bats. So, I’ll be honing in on single-entry and smaller-field tournaments with my very focused approach to my player pool. On DK, I’ll be willing to play just about any SP2 on the slate, and I’ll be looking to differentiate with that spot.
