MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, May 7
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Bryce Harper
stevietpfl: Manny Machado
Notorious: Kyle Schwarber
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am playing a single lineup on each site in small-field tournaments with limited entries. With such a small slate and limited options, I am sticking to the higher-projected pitchers, even though that means taking the chalky guys. I’ll get different with hitters, where I will minimize my stacking on a small slate. I just want to hunt for home runs regardless of team, and I’ll find a couple of batters with lower pOWN% that I believe in.
stevietpfl: I prefer large-field contests on this slate. With a smaller 4-game slate and no dominant pitchers, I think everything is in play. Michael King is projecting for a ton of ownership, and while I like this spot for him, I still think the Cardinals offense is in play. Max Meyer has the 2nd-highest pOWN% at pitcher. While I like Meyer, I think Baltimore has a lot of upside in this matchup. I’ll be spreading out my pitcher exposure and getting exposure to all 8 offenses.
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I’m going to eat the chalk at pitcher (Max Meyer and Michael King) and eat the chalk with the lefties on the Phillies. My way to get different is by being underweight on the Marlins. While I like their matchup against Cade Povich, Miami’s lineup is littered with batters who struggle against LHP. I’d rather look to the Padres.
