What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I’m running just one lineup and entering it mainly in smaller-field GPPs. I’m going against the typical roster construction today by spending up on the two best, most expensive pitchers. That alone should get me different right away—since both Cole Ragans and Garrett Crochet are projected to be highly owned, most people won’t play them together on the same roster. I’ll fill in with some cheaper KC options in my stack to make the rest of the build work.

Dean78904: I don’t make a lot of lineups, as I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I will do my best to go double-barrel stud SP in every lineup by rostering Cole Ragans and Garrett Crochet. This slate is small enough that I will allow myself to do goofy things, like roster batters against my pitchers and prioritize homer-hunting over stacking. I don’t really love any offense, to the point where I could see myself making a 2-2-2-2 type of lineup, which is one way to make a Ragans/Crochet team different.

ebeimfohr: With the Garrett Crochet / Cole Ragans combo such a slam dunk, I’m going to be looking to rotate my hitters around as much as I can, including getting well off the beaten path with bats, given the chalkiness of those two pitchers. That will require playing multiple lineups and also being willing to take a shot on the bad weather game in Minnesota.
