MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, September 26

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I’m going to narrow my pitching pool, and while my MME builds will be spread out with bats, I also have a fairly narrow pool for primary lineups on the hitting side. On FD, I’ll get up to Kevin Gausman where I can but otherwise will be living in the $9k range, with Braxton Garrett and Michael King being my primary options. On DK, I’ll be loading up on King and Gausman, with a few mid-tier arms in the pool – Braxton Garrett, Bailey Ober, Seth Lugo, & Cristian Javier. The hitting is, of course, very different between sites due to the Coors game not being included on FD. On DK, I’m going to hope for lower-than-usual ownership from a late lineup and doubleheader, and I’ll be way over the field on the Dodgers. Other than the Dodgers, I’m heavily targeting the Diamondbacks and Brewers, who should be popular, and then using the Rangers to get slightly different.

stevietpfl: With my three lineups, I’m going to lock in Michael King and be overweight on the Diamondbacks, Dodgers (DK), and Cubs. I will look for a lower-owned SP2 to pair with King and for some lower-owned secondary stacks to pair with the popular stacks. I typically like being different, but I like these matchups and project them to be so much better than everything else on this slate.

squirrelpatrol: This is a slate that feels a little bit smaller than the 10 or 11 games that are in play, with some pitchers seeing an uncertain workload if their teams are preparing for the playoffs. I’ll likely spread out my exposure more with my stacks than at pitcher, with Kevin Gausman standing out above the rest on the mound but a number of good teams being available for bats.

boggslite: The DK slate will likely be decided by which Dodgers bats are available for the second game of the doubleheader in Coors Field. There’s a decent chance some value opens up, but I still expect to see at least Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Will Smith in the lineup, with Max Muncy the likely candidate to sit. Regardless, it’s definitely a situation to monitor, in addition to weather, as there aren’t many appealing pivots to stack outside of the Diamondbacks and Rangers. Fortunately, we have late swap, which is going to be the focal point of my strategy tonight.

Dean78904: On DK, you have the LAD-COL game. Game 1 starts at 3:10 PM ET, and I think there is at least a chance we don’t the Game 2 starting lineup until after the slate locks. The Dodgers have clinched a playoff spot and their division, with basically no chance to chase down Atlanta for the best record in the NL. Translation – LA is basically in a holding pattern, where winning doesn’t really matter and they’d love to just hit the sim button to get to the start of the playoffs. The Dodgers are starting all of Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, and J.D. Martinez in Game 1. My guess is at least one of these guys, if not several, are not in the Game 2 lineup. This could potentially open up some real juicy Dodgers value, so this is a situation worth monitoring all the way past lock.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
