MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, September 8

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I have no favorite pitcher, no favorite stack and no favorite individual bats. From looking at early projections and ownership, I think that is going to be the case for the field as well, which should mean spread out ownership. If you have a favorite anything, just play it with no concern of how popular it will be. I guess I’m going to narrow down my pitching pool a bit, focusing mostly on Kodai Senga, Griffin Canning and Yusei Kikuchi. If I have to choose a favorite group of stacks to focus on, I’ll go with the Orioles, Giants and Dodgers, but officially, I am spreading out early and often. To very directly answer the question, ‘what tactic or strategy will set you apart’ – None, we are all throwing darts tonight. I will just hope to have more darts.

STLCardinals84: This is a weird slate, but it’s one that offers a lot of value bats and not a lot of value arms. With ownership likely not being much of a concern at any level, I’m going to prioritize spending up on upside strikeout arms like Kodai Senga and Kyle Harrison, while playing one-off value bats around my expensive stacks. I like Toronto the most as a full stack on a points per dollar basis, as there are also reasonable values in their lineup like Cavan Biggio and Daulton Varsho.

TastefulTides: Kodai Senga is my favorite tournament pitcher on the slate. I know I sound like a broken record at this point, but I am going to continue streaming against Minnesota. I don’t think he will be overly chalky either. Ownership shoud be pretty spread out with bats so feel free to whomever you wish. The Orioles are my top stack on the board, especially the lefites. Houck has pretty wide splits and gives up a .268 .ISO to left handed bats so far this season.

TJ Zwarych: The Dodgers and Orioles stand out as my two favorite stacks on the slate so I’ll look to be heavily overweight on both of them in MME. I’ll prioritize Harrison and Kikuchi at pitcher, but I don’t really trust anyone today so I’ll even take some cheap shots on Luis Severino.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
