MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, September 11
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stevietpfl: I’m on some chalky stacks, so I’ll be looking to pair them with a lower-owned secondary stack. At pitching, I’m going to fade Dylan Cease on my three-entry build. I’m going to be overweight on Tyler Glasnow and Brandon Woodruff, who look to be the lower-owned pitchers among the top-end options.
headChopper: The decision point is the Cubs. In GPPs, you need to decide if you want to fade that heavy chalk or embrace it. I choose to embrace it and go all in with a plethora of various Cubs stacks. Then I will mix-and-match one stud pitcher with one cheap pitcher if I have the salary to do so. Some lineups may require a fade of a stud pitcher, even though Logan Gilbert is underpriced for being a stud arm.
AlexSonty: First off, I’m not playing a chalky Dylan Cease in my single lineup on either site. Not at ~20% on FD and ~33% on DK. He’s too high-variance, and the opportunity cost is too high when we look at the options I’d not be playing to play him. There are nice stacks on this slate, but nothing great, so I might not full stack, which would be a huge departure from my normal strategy. Early on, I’m thinking CHC-SD-TEX in a 3-3-2 type of build.
tcsmith031: On a slate with plenty of quality stacks, I don’t mind foregoing some of the expensive pitching. I’ll be heavily over the field on the cheaper Dylan Cease, and I think hoping for 13-15 points from guys like Reid Detmers, Brady Singer, or Kutter Crawford is a reasonable enough approach. I’d much rather prioritize paying up for expensive stacks.
eys819: I want to be overweight on Cubs. I think there are plenty of ways to differentiate the stack where I can avoid a chalk build (playing the extremely expensive Cody Bellinger lefty-lefty is easily my favorite). I will also be overweight on the Padres and playing the cheap Royals against the somewhat popular Dylan Cease. At pitcher, I will save a little salary by going down to Jesus Luzardo and/or Gavin Williams.
