MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, September 13
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am prioritizing pitching on DK. It’s a smaller slate with good pitching up top and fewer teams to choose from, which means stacking doesn’t always pay off. Not to mention the lack of quality stacks. On FD, I like the stacking options much better and there is a deeper pool of quality pitching, so I am prioritizing my stacks over there and fitting in the pitcher last.
squirrelpatrol: The slate context is very different between sites, and I’ll be reacting accordingly. On FanDuel, I’ll be aiming to get creative spending down at pitcher to afford some more expensive stacks. On DraftKings, I’ll be looking to get a bit different with my bats and stacks in order to spend up at pitcher.
TastefulTides: Completely different slates between FD and DK. On FD, we get the juggernaut Atlanta offense plus ace Spencer Strider to deal with. Atlanta is my favorite stack on the board, but they will be hard to fit with Strider. I will likely get overweight Baltimore stacks so I can get to Strider more comfortably. On DK, it’s going to be all about Hunter Brown, Tanner Houck, and possibly Mike Clevinger. This will allow me to get to the Padres and Red Sox, who each have a strong combination of spend-up options and salary relief plays.
fathalpert: DK is a 7-game slate, while FD is a 10-game slate with elite offensive spots for Atlanta and Baltimore. You absolutely need to treat these as two different slates and not just carry over your views from one site to the other. On FD, I prefer paying down at pitching so I can go heavier on Atlanta and Baltimore, which aren’t included on the DK main slate. As a result, I find myself more willing to pay up for pitching on DK and then target cheaper offenses, like the Red Sox and White Sox.
