Million Dollar Musings, Part I - Pitchers: Tuesday, April 11

CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Happy Tuesday! We’ve got a fun looking 10-game slate tonight with no shortage of obvious top plays on both sides of the ledger. The setup is similar to yesterday, where Coors Field and the Angels bats jump out as clear chalk, and we have an even better top end of the pitching pool to focus on.
I’ll start out with a pitching preview, although I will say right off the top that this easily could and should be the shortest pitching breakdown we’ll ever need on busy 10-game slate. I’ll type some more words because that’s what I do, but basically, play deGrom and Ohtani and go to lunch.
Tuesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings
As we’ve seen most of this season, DK has not made it difficult to pay up for aces, and we have two very clear best plays under $10k. FD makes it slightly tougher, but the top two aces are under $11k, and still leave you with $3,000 per bat, which is very workable.
THE TWO ACES
Jacob deGrom vs Royals
Shohei Ohtani vs Nationals
TIER TWO PITCHING
Corbin Burnes at Diamondbacks
Kyle Wright vs Reds
Dustin May at Giants
Lance Lynn at Twins
Alek Manoah vs Tigers
Pablo Lopez vs White Sox

Don’t Overthink It
Jacob deGrom, Shohei Ohtani
After some wonky first game BABIP, Jacob deGrom was back to full-fledged ace level with an 11-strikeout performance last week. Just as importantly, 92 pitches showed that there is basically no worry about a short leash at this point. He has been far and away the best pitcher in the league when healthy the past two seasons, and with an 18:2 K:BB ratio to start this year, I see no reason to expect anything different. At home against the Royals, he qualifies as a Don’t Overthink It on DK at just $9,900. I’ll be fine if end up with 100% of him tonight. On FD, $10,600 is also a good salary, but I won’t go completely Ohtani-less, so he won’t see a lock button.
