MLB DFS Top Stacks: Friday, June 23

Derek Farnsworth walks you through the top stacks for the upcoming MLB main slate. Should we eat the chalk? Which team is a good pivot? Where can we find leverage? Find out below!
MLB DFS is complex. Most articles on MLB DFS picks are about the individual players most likely to succeed on any given day, but the MLB DFS picks most likely to succeed aren’t always the MLB DFS picks we should be most likely to play.
In this space, we will look at the MLB DFS process over the MLB DFS picks. And we’re looking at teams over individual players, using the features of the RotoGrinders Top Stacks tool. We’ll still look at the player projections available in LineupHQ. Still, we’ll be more focused on collective ownership, optimal scores, and matchups of full stacks within the context of game selection and leverage.
FRIDAY!
I’m old enough to remember TGIF (shoutout to Topanga). If you are confused, we might not have a lot in common. TGIF (Thank God It’s Friday) was Friday night programming that featured a number of shows, my favorite being Boy Meets World. We looked forward to Friday back then and still do today. There are 10 games on the main slate this evening, which means we have plenty of stacks to choose from.
Chalk Stack – Blue Jays vs. James Kaprielian

The Blue Jays are looking like the chalk stack of the slate, but that doesn’t mean they are a bad option for tournaments tonight. In the sims, they show up in the optimal lineup 17% of the time and they appear to be generating about 13% of ownership on FanDuel and 15% of ownership on DraftKings. I don’t know about you, but I always feel a little better about my stacks when their Opto% is higher than their pOWN%.
