MLB DFS is complex. Most articles on MLB DFS picks are about the individual players most likely to succeed on any given day, but the MLB DFS picks most likely to succeed aren’t always the MLB DFS picks we should be most likely to play.
In this space, we will look at the MLB DFS process over the MLB DFS picks. And we’re looking at teams over individual players, using the features of the RotoGrinders Top Stacks tool. We’ll still look at the player projections available in LineupHQ. Still, we’ll be more focused on collective ownership, optimal scores, and matchups of full stacks within the context of game selection and leverage.
While the end of the baseball season is always the toughest from a betting and DFS standpoint, I can’t say that I’m ready for the playoffs to start. While it will be great to watch more meaningful baseball, the value of stacking essentially goes out the window once we get down to one and two-game slates. In other words, let’s not take these last couple of weeks for granted. With everyone focusing their attention on football, this is our time to shine.
Let’s dive into tonight’s 13-game main slate.
The Chalkiest Stack – Giants vs. Chase Anderson
As is usually the case when there’s a game in Coors Field, it’s easy to see why the field is attracted to one team in particular on this slate. This is by far the best hitter’s park in baseball and the Rockies have a bottom-five pitching rotation. Chase Anderson will take the mound tonight with his 5.46 xERA and his 17% strikeout rate. He has one of the lowest ground ball rates of any pitcher on the slate and gives up a fair amount of hard contact to batters from both sides of the plate.
