Every day when the MLB schedule features four or more games, you can find expert recommendations on potential stacks for your FanDuel lineups. Loading up on batters from the same team can be a profitable approach to DFS MLB, and every day we’ll provide three teams that offer high upside for stacking. Our experts will provide Premium Stacks and Value Stacks, which provide options at every price point to allow for various lineup possibilities.

You can expect these picks and analysis to be posted every day by 2 PM Eastern, or 10 AM for early slates.

Monday, April 13

Team Stack #1 – Los Angeles Angels at Texas (Ross Detwiler) – Late Game

Premium Stack – 1B Albert Pujols ($3,800), SS Erick Aybar ($3,100), OF Mike Trout ($5,000), OF Kole Calhoun (if he plays – $3,500)

Value Stack – C Chris Iannetta ($2,300), SS Erick Aybar ($3,100), 3B David Freese ($3,000), OF Matt Joyce ($2,600)

The Angels are the no-brainer stack of the day today. Ross Detwiler is easily the worst pitcher of the day, and the game will be played at hitter-friendly Globe Life Park. The Angels boast one of the better offenses in the league, and it’s hard to see them not doing some sort of damage in this game. Fire them up as a top stack, even though the prices are a bit expensive. The late slate pitching options are more affordable, which should help in fitting some Angels bats. One word of caution — you do need to monitor potential weather concerns here, and also monitor Kole Calhoun’s injury status.

Team Stack #2 – Oakland A’s at Houston (Scott Feldman) – Late Game

Premium Stack – N/A – All Oakland’s bats are cheap!

Value Stack – 1B Billy Butler ($3,100), 2B Ben Zobrist ($3,200), 3B Brett Lawrie ($2,700), OF Sam Fuld ($2,800)

I don’t know why, but I will never be a believer in Scott Feldman. He doesn’t throw hard, he doesn’t strike out a ton of batters, and his stuff is generally average. For some reason, he usually is able to get the job done. I envision him struggling against a solid Oakland offense that gave Felix Hernandez fits on Sunday, and they should be able to string some hits together against the veteran right-hander. They won’t be nearly as popular as the Angels and make a great contrarian stack in this matchup.
