Colorado Rockies vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.300 (Rank: 23)
Strikeout Rate: 26.9% (Rank: 29)
Analysis: Not only is this game being played in Coors Field, but there is also a chance that this could get postponed. We want no part of the pitching in this game.
Pitcher Rating:32.0
Eddie Butler (FD: $5800, DK: $4100)
Pitching Stats:

Strikeout Rate: 20.4% (Rank: 18)
Analysis: Let’s see… Is Eddie Butler a good fantasy option against the league’s best offense against right handed pitching? Nope. What if we throw in the fact that this game is being played in Coors Field? Nope. Well, I tried.

2014 vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.384 — ISO: 0.236 — OBP: 0.362
Analysis: The only reason not to target the hitters in this game would be the potential weather concerns. As always, make sure to check out the daily weather report from Kevin Roth in the forums. He is the man that knows all when it comes to weather. Assuming this game is a go, the Dodgers offense is one of the top targets on the schedule tonight. Left and right-handed hitters are both in play against Eddie Butler in Coors Field.

Analysis: Tulowitzki is easily the top shortstop on the board tonight and it’s not even close. He has posted a .550+ wOBA against left-handed pitching in each of the last two seasons and he gets to face an average southpaw tonight in Coors Field. Tulowitzki and the rest of the Rockies are in play tonight as long as we get the green light from Roth’s weather report.

James Shields (FD: $8700, DK: $8800)
Pitching Stats:
2015: SIERA: 2.59 — K Rate: 31.2% — K/9: 11.89 — BB Rate: 5.8% — GB Rate: 44.6%
2014: SIERA: 3.59 — K Rate: 19.2% — K/9: 7.14 — BB Rate: 4.7% — GB Rate: 45.2%
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.322 (Rank: 10)
Strikeout Rate: 18.9% (Rank: 8)
Analysis: Shields has been dominant this season with a 2.59 SIERA and a K/9 of 11.9. His move to the National League has certainly paid off. He draws a tough matchup tonight against the Diamondbacks though. Arizona is ranked 10th in wOBA against right-handed pitching and he has to face them in the hitter-friendly Chase Field. Shields is in play, but I’d rather pay a bit more for either Matt Harvey or Gio Gonzalez.
Pitcher Rating:71.2
Jeremy Hellickson (FD: $6000, DK: $6000)
Pitching Stats:
2015: SIERA: 4.20 — K Rate: 17.3% — K/9: 7.16 — BB Rate: 7.1% — GB Rate: 43.0%

San Diego Padres vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.302 (Rank: 19)
Strikeout Rate: 20.1% (Rank: 14)
Analysis: Hellickson has mediocre numbers through his first five starts with the Diamondbacks. He has a 4.20 SIERA with a K/9 of 7.2. He doesn’t produce a ton of ground ball outs, which could pose a big problem for tonight’s matchup against the Padres, who have plenty of power in their lineup.

Analysis: Upton was a disappointment last night, but he’s the featured play again tonight. He has great power against right-handed pitching, he draws a favorable matchup against Jeremy Hellickson, and he is playing in Chase Field, where he has had great success in his career.

Roberto Hernandez (FD: $5700, DK: $5100)
Pitching Stats:
2015: SIERA: 4.40 — K Rate: 13.9% — K/9: 5.16 — BB Rate: 7.4% — GB Rate: 51.6%
2014: SIERA: 4.67 — K Rate: 14.5% — K/9: 5.74 — BB Rate: 10.1% — GB Rate: 49.7%
LA Angels of Anaheim vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.275 (Rank: 29)
Strikeout Rate: 20.6% (Rank: 20)
Analysis: Hernandez may not be as bad as most people think that he is, but he’s still a below-average major league pitcher. He has a 4.40 SIERA with a low K/9 of 5.2 this season. The Angels’ offense has struggled to score runs this season, but I’ll side with a cold offense before I side with the pitcher formerly known as Fausto Carmona.
Pitcher Rating:41.2
Jered Weaver (FD: $7200, DK: $7000)
Pitching Stats:
2015: SIERA: 4.86 — K Rate: 9.9% — K/9: 3.93 — BB Rate: 3.3% — GB Rate: 40.8%
2014: SIERA: 4.18 — K Rate: 19.0% — K/9: 7.13 — BB Rate: 7.3% — GB Rate: 32.9%
Houston Astros vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.330 (Rank: 7)
Strikeout Rate: 23.9% (Rank: 29)
Analysis: Weaver’s strikeouts have dipped so low that he shouldn’t even be on your radar anymore. He has only averaged 3.9 strikeouts per nine innings this season, which is three less than he averaged last season. The Astros may strike out at a high rate, but they should be able to make great contact against Weaver tonight.

2014 vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.355 — ISO: 0.208 — OBP: 0.347
Analysis: Valbuena is one of my favorite value plays on the board tonight. He is extremely cheap on both FanDuel and DraftKings and he draws a fantastic matchup against a fly-ball pitcher in Jered Weaver. Valbuena has a .355 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season and he’ll likely be hitting third tonight.

Analysis: Trout homered again last night for his eighth of the season. With all of the great outfield options tonight, he’ll likely have a lower ownership percentage than he usually does. He draws a favorable matchup against Roberto Hernandez, who gave up a .323 wOBA to right-handed hitters last season.

Pitching Stats:
2015: SIERA: 3.87 — K Rate: 21.0% — K/9: 7.33 — BB Rate: 7.8% — GB Rate: 47.4%
2014: SIERA: 3.56 — K Rate: 20.4% — K/9: 7.52 — BB Rate: 8.2% — GB Rate: 55.9%
Seattle Mariners vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.298 (Rank: 23)
Strikeout Rate: 20.4% (Rank: 18)
Analysis: If you are looking for an elite pitcher that will likely have a low ownership level, look no further. Gray has pitched well this season with a 3.87 SIERA and a K/9 of 7.3. He draws one of the better pitching matchups on the board, as the Mariners are currently ranked 23rd in wOBA against right-handed pitching. He’s only a small favorite, but he should get some run support with Taijuan Walker pitching for the Mariners.
Pitcher Rating:75.0
Taijuan Walker (FD: $7700, DK: $7200)
Pitching Stats:
2015: SIERA: 4.56 — K Rate: 18.4% — K/9: 8.34 — BB Rate: 10.5% — GB Rate: 40.5%
2014: SIERA: 3.97 — K Rate: 21.3% — K/9: 8.05 — BB Rate: 11.3% — GB Rate: 46.6%
Oakland Athletics vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.333 (Rank: 6)
Strikeout Rate: 15.8% (Rank: 1)
Analysis: Walker is the ultimate boom or bust play, but unfortunately tonight it looks like he has a better chance to be the latter tonight. The A’s have one of the best offenses in baseball, ranking 6th in wOBA against right-handed pitching. Oakland also has the lowest strikeout rate of any team against right-handed pitching this season. There is more risk than potential reward with Walker tonight.

Position Eligibility: FD: OF — DK: OF
2015 vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.292 — ISO: 0.042 — OBP: 0.320
Analysis: I’ve mentioned this before, but one of my favorite strategies in cash games is to target cheap speed at the top of the order. It’s hard to find anyone cheaper or faster than Burns. He’s priced under $2,500 on both FanDuel and DraftKings and he draws a favorable matchup against Taijuan Walker. This could be a multi-hit, multi-run type of game for Burns.

Pitching Stats:
2015: SIERA: 3.92 — K Rate: 15.3% — K/9: 5.34 — BB Rate: 6.8% — GB Rate: 57.3%

San Francisco Giants vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.305 (Rank: 18)
Strikeout Rate: 17.2% (Rank: 5)
Analysis: Cosart isn’t a great pitcher for use in daily fantasy baseball because he has very limited upside. His K/9 of 5.3 is below-average, which makes it tough for him to overcome any mistakes. He draws a bad strikeout matchup against the Giants, who have the 5th-lowest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season.
Pitcher Rating:52.5
Tim Lincecum (FD: $7000, DK: $7500)
Pitching Stats:

Miami Marlins vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.308 (Rank: 15)
Strikeout Rate: 21.7% (Rank: 24)
Analysis: Lincecum typically pitches well at home, but there is no reason to use him in cash games. There are safer options that have both a higher floor and a higher ceiling that Lincecum does tonight. He may be worth a look as a tournament play though, as the Marlins have the 7th highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season.
