Jesse Chavez
Salaries: $8400 FD, $6600 DK
Boston Red Sox vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.306 (Rank: 18)
Strikeout Rate: 16.3% (Rank: 30)
Chavez has been great for the Athletics, and if we ignore the 2-5 record, we can see his 2.11 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 3.69 xFIP to back it up. He is coming off two shutout performances where he lasted eight innings in both against two solid teams in the Yankees and Tigers. Today he takes on another tough team in the Red Sox who has been struggling lately. He has a solid strikeout rate of 21.6% and should make a solid second pitcher on the afternoon slate. Rating = 5.5
Joe Kelly
Salaries: $6700 FD, $4700 DK
Oakland Athletics vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.323 (Rank: 4)
Strikeout Rate: 17.1% (Rank: 27)
Kelly is never someone we want to target in daily fantasy regardless of the matchup. He has a high ERA (5.88), rarely lasts too long in his starts, and allows just too many base runners. Today he faces an A’s squad that is ranked fourth in wOBA against right-handed pitching (.323) and has a low strikeout rate. He is an easy avoid today. Rating = 4.5

Josh Reddick
2015 vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.453 — ISO: 0.263 — OBP: 0.433
Analysis: Reddick gets a solid matchup today against Joe Kelly who has allowed a career wOBA of .322 to left-handed bats. This offense should be able to put up a number of runs today as small favorites in a game with an eight-run total and Reddick’s ISO of .263 should drive some runs home.

Ubaldo Jimenez
Salaries: $7400 FD, $7100 DK
Cleveland Indians vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.319 (Rank: 10)
Strikeout Rate: 17.8% (Rank: 25)
Is it time that we start trusting Ubaldo yet? I don’t know if we can ever trust this guy, but he is trying to make a case for it this season. He has a 3.19 xFIP on the year to go along with his very solid 23.2% strikeout rate. One of the big reasons for Ubaldo’s success this year has been the major decrease in his walk rate (6.8%) this year, which has led to him being a viable option. He does have a tough matchup against Salazar and the lefty heavy Indians squad today, which does drop his upside a bit. Jimenez is still a solid tournament play for me this afternoon. Rating = 6
Danny Salazar
Salaries: $9100 FD, $8800 DK
Baltimore Orioles vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.311 (Rank: 16)
Strikeout Rate: 23.0% (Rank: 4)
There are a few solid pitching options in the afternoon slate, but none may have the upside of Salazar. Salazar has great stats across the board with a 2.79 xFIP after nine starts to go along with his ridiculous 31.0% strikeout rate. He will have to face some tough bats in this Orioles lineup today, but if he can keep his pitch count down and go deep into this game, he could be the highest scoring pitcher on the slate. Yet, he is not the top cash game play due to the matchup in comparison to Bumgarner who faces one of the worst offenses in the league, but Salazar could easily be the highest scoring pitcher on this slate. Rating = 8

Colorado Rockies vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.336 (Rank: 2)
Strikeout Rate: 19.2% (Rank: 20)
Phelps is an average pitcher that has to take his skill set into Coors Field this afternoon. He is an easy avoid in a game that features a total of 10. Rating = 2.5
Chris Rusin
Salaries: $5000 FD, $4000 DK
Miami Marlins vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.340 (Rank: 2)
Strikeout Rate: 21.4% (Rank: 14)
Rusin will be making his second start of the season, and sadly for him, it is in Coors Field. In 2014, Rusin had an ERA of 7.11 and has a low strikeout rate. He is an easy avoid today. Rating = 2

Giancarlo Stanton
2015 vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.491 — ISO: 0.559 — OBP: 0.371
Analysis: Stanton showed us yesterday why he is pretty much an auto-play when in Coors against a lefty. He went yard yesterday and if he can continue to make good contact, he will have a big-time series against the pitching staff that the Rockies are throwing out at him. He is a top outfielder and one of the top position players overall today.
Secondary Plays:
All hitter have a plus matchup in Coors today. The 1-6 hitters are all in play and the 7-8 are good tournament plays as well.
Colorado
Charlie Blackmon
2015 vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.389 — ISO: 0.195 — OBP: 0.390
Analysis: Blackmon has been one of the more consistent hitters for this Rockies squad and he is great for fantasy purposes as he can do a bit of everything on the field. In the last two games alone, Blackmon has five hits, including two doubles, as well as two stolen bases. This game features the biggest total of the slate and both sides should be targeted.
Secondary Plays:
All hitter have a plus matchup in Coors today. The 1-6 hitters are all in play and the 7-8 are good tournament plays as well.

Andrew Cashner
Salaries: $8400 FD, $7800 DK
Cincinnati Reds vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.304 (Rank: 19)
Strikeout Rate: 18.4% (Rank: 24)
Cashner is having his start moved up from Sunday to today, which is a nice upgrade from whom the Padres had scheduled. Cashner had been pitching well this year, until his last game where he imploded against the Mets, allowing 11 hits, five earned runs in only 4.2 innings pitched. The bright side of that start was the fact that he was still able to strike out 12 batters, which upped his K rate to a very solid 24.9%. The K rate alone puts Cashner in play for tournaments, as his ceiling is high. Rating = 6.5
Michael Lorenzen
Salaries: $5600 FD, $4300 DK
San Diego Padres vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.294 (Rank: 25)
Strikeout Rate: 21.8% (Rank: 5)
Lorenzen has pitched well so far this year and has a 3.06 ERA to show for it. His xFIP of 5.15 shows some regression is in order soon. Regardless, he has a very low ceiling this afternoon as his K/9 is 5.01 and has allowed five home runs in seven appearances. Avoid him today. Rating = 5

2015 vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.382 — ISO: 0.118 — OBP: 0.427
Analysis: Alonso has come back from injury and has played well in his three starts. He has five hits during his return including two runs batted in and three runs scored. He will be in the heart of this order and has a solid matchup against Lorenzen who has allowed a wOBA of .354 to lefties this year.

Jeff Locke
Salaries: $6700 FD, $5900 DK
Atlanta Braves vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.266 (Rank: 28)
Strikeout Rate: 23.5% (Rank: 7)
Locke has been beat up in a number of his starts so far this year. He has allowed three or more earned runs in seven of his ten starts and has an ERA of 5.34 on the year. He does have a decent matchup against the Braves whose big bats are mostly left-handed. His K rate is average at 18.3% and should not be targeted in any formats tonight, except for a contrarian tournament play. Rating = 5
Julio Teheran
Salaries: $7800 FD, $7400 DK
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.308 (Rank: 17)
Strikeout Rate: 19.9% (Rank: 15)
Teheran is tough to get a read on at the moment. He either pitches very well or gets crushed for 5+ earned runs. His ERA sits a 4.87, which is backed up by his xFIP of 4.52 this year. On paper, he has a decent matchup, but the Pirates have scored 26 runs over their last four games. Teheran is a bit too risky to use with all the other solid pitchers going tonight. Rating = 5

Neil Walker
2015 vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.335 — ISO: 0.140 — OBP: 0.341
Analysis: The lefties are in play big time against Teheran today as he has allowed a wOBA of .444 to left-handed bats on the season. Walker, along with the rest of this Pirates offense, has been playing well recently. He has eleven hits in his last eight games along with seven runs batted in. This offense is hot and should continue to be targeted tonight.

Juan Uribe
2015 vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.420 — ISO: 0.600 — OBP: 0.333
Analysis: Uribe has been pretty solid since joining the Braves eight games ago. He has eight hits during this run, including two home runs and now finds himself batting high in the order. He is not a great cash game play, but does offer a high ceiling against Locke tonight
