Pitcher Grind Down
- Nick Tepesch – Tepesch might be one of the Rangers young starters that is finally finding his way in the MLB. He has surprisingly only allowed more than 3 earned runs in 1 of his last 10 starts. With that said, he strikes batters out at one of the lowest rates I think I have seen for a starter this year (4.0 K/9). He is not fantasy relevant. Rating = 3
Salaries: $5100 FD, $9250 DD, $5500 DK, $NA FF, $NA SS, $NA FTD
- Cory Rasmus – Rasmus has been good, but he is another case of it does not matter due to the fact that 50 pitches is probably his limit today. Avoid him and look elsewhere. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5100 FD, $8750 DD, $5800 DK, $ FF, $ SS, $ FTD
Batter Grind Down
Texas
Rougned Odor – He is cheap and should be hitting in the 3 spot today against a RH pitcher. These reasons make him a decent punt play.
LA Angels
Kole Calhoun – I am expecting one of those great Calhoun games we have seen a few times this year. A double or two, a few runs scored and a stolen base to go along with it. He has crushed righties all year long and Tepesch is no stud.
Additional Plays: Mike Trout Albert Pujols

Pitcher Grind Down
- A.J. Burnett – Burnett has struggled a bit recently as he has allowed 8 earned runs in his last two starts. This Oakland offense has to come alive sometime don’t they? Today could be it as they are huge favorites with Kazmir on the mound. Rating = 4
Salaries: $7200 FD, $14350 DD, $8400 DK, $NA FF, $NA SS, $NA FTD
- Scott Kazmir – Kazmir has not been the pitcher over the last 2 months as he was the rest of the season. Yet, he gets a dream matchup against the Phillies that everyone has really been able to mow throw recently. He is a -220 favorite and should be able to have his way with this lineup and get a bunch of K’s along the way. He is a great cheap, option today. Rating = 7
Salaries: $8100 FD, $15200 DD, $7400 DK, $ FF, $ SS, $ FTD
Batter Grind Down
Philadelphia
Avoid the Phillies bats.
Oakland
Brandon Moss – The average will not be there this year, but he has a ton of upside in GPPs. He does have 2 home runs in the last week and could make it 3 today.
Additional Plays: Josh Donaldson

Pitcher Grind Down
- Wade Miley – Miley pitched well in his last start, but today is Coors. Just move on. Rating = 3
Salaries: $7400 FD, $13400 DD, $7700 DK, $NA FF, $NA SS, $NA FTD
- Christian Bergman – This game features a total of 10’ today. Avoid both pitchers.
Salaries: $5000 FD, $8750 DD, $4500 DK, $ FF, $ SS, $ FTD
Batter Grind Down
Arizona
Miguel Montero – Montero is still very cheap and he has the great park of Coors to hit in today. I think he is a top option at the position due to price, opponent and park.
Additional Plays: Ender Inciarte David Peralta Mark Trumbo
Colorado
Drew Stubbs – He should be back in the lineup against a LH pitcher which he has mashed all season long. I see that continuing today and should be hitting in the 2 spot.
Additional Plays: Willin Rosario Brandon Barnes Josh Rutledge

Pitcher Grind Down
- Ryan Vogelsong – Vogelsong gets the matchup of the day and it will be interesting to see if he takes advantage of it. He has been a bit up and down this year and has an overall 3.98 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. He has yet to face the Padres this year, but the game features a total of 6 and a close line. Both pitchers are fully in play here today. Rating = 6
Salaries: $6500 FD, $12950 DD, $7000 DK, $NA FF, $NA SS, $NA FTD
- Ian Kennedy – Kennedy is always in play at home this year especially as he has shown very good strike out potential (9.4 K/9). He gets a decent matchup today against the Giants and makes a great mid-tiered play. Rating = 7
Salaries: $7900 FD, $15900 DD, $8900 DK, $ FF, $ SS, $ FTD
Batter Grind Down
San Francisco
I actually see this as a 2-1 game today. Avoid the bats with other good matchups on the board.
San Diego
Padres bats are never good to take, especially in Petco.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Alfredo Simon – Simon has pitched well against these STL bats this year, but there are way too many good options on the day for me to want to pay for someone like Simon regardless of his price. Rating = 4
Salaries: $6700 FD, $13350 DD, $6900 DK, $NA FF, $NA SS, $NA FTD
- Lance Lynn – Lynn has been very impressive for the Cards this season holding a 2.68 ERA and 1.26 WHIP. He should be able to run through this depleted Reds lineup today making him a great mid-tiered play. Rating = 7
Salaries: $8400 FD, $17900 DD, $9500 DK, $ FF, $ SS, $ FTD
Batter Grind Down
Cincinnati
The reds seem to have hung up the cleats a bit early this year and should be avoided for the last week.
St. Louis
Matt Adams – Adams versus a subpar righty has been gold all season long.
