Happy Thursday! Major League Baseball only has one night game on tap this evening, but the good news for bettors is that it features plenty of value. Even if you missed the afternoon action while at work, there are spots to consider for the final game of the night between the Royals and Tigers.

As always, it’s important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. The forecast at Comerica Park tonight is on the mild side, with temperatures in the mid-70s and inconsequential winds blowing in from center field.

Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Thursday, July 23rd!

Best MLB Player Props for Thursday, July 23rd

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Thursday, July 23rd:

Troy Melton UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (+124, DraftKings)

Melton has been outstanding of late, posting a 0.92 ERA, 2.02 xERA, and 0.75 WHIP across his last 5 starts. That said, he’s benefited from a .177 BABIP and 94.1% LOB rate during that stretch – both of which are likely to experience negative regression in the near future.

Notably, Kansas City has 6 LHB in tonight’s lineup. Melton has a 5.52 FIP across the platoon this season due to an extreme fastball-heavy arsenal that struggles to generate much swing-and-miss. The Royals lineup is down a notch with no Bobby Witt Jr., but they still have capable bats that could get to Melton.

Michael Massey OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+132, DraftKings)

Massey has been seeing the ball extremely well in recent weeks. Since July 5, he owns a .357 batting average, 149 wRC+, and has nearly walked more than he has struck out. He doesn’t hit the ball particularly hard on average, but he does make a lot of contact, which could play well in the spacious confines of Comerica Park. This is good value at plus money.

Isaac Collins OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+138, DraftKings)

Collins has been heating up as the weather has warmed up. Since July 5, he owns a .326 batting average and 152 wRC+. He’s been good over a larger sample size too, with a 133 wRC+ against RHP since the beginning of June. He draws a favorable matchup tonight against Troy Melton and a taxed Detroit arm barn. This is a good price to take a risk on him to do some damage at the plate. This is also a good Same Game Parlay inclusion with Michael Massey due to them hitting back-to-back in the Kansas City lineup.
