Wind could play a big factor in Baltimore and Pittsburgh tonight. As always, make sure to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before locking in any wagers!
Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Thursday, May 28th!
Best MLB Player Props for Thursday, May 28th
Here are my top player prop bets for this evening, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Thursday, May 28th:
- Joc Pederson Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Alejandro Osuna Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Brandon Nimmo Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Joc Pederson OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+129, DraftKings)
Pederson has been seeing the ball extremely well of late, posting a 287 wRC+, a .435 batting average, and more walks than strikeouts across his last 26 plate appearances. Tonight, he gets to face Spencer Arrighetti, who has struggled across the platoon early in 2026. Pederson has the power to cover this number by himself. He also has a mature approach, which could help him draw a walk and get driven home by a teammate.
Alejandro Osuna OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+132, DraftKings)
Osuna doesn’t have a hit in 11 plate appearances since being moved into the 2-hole, but his approach metrics have remained strong despite underwhelming surface-level statistics. Osuna doesn’t have overwhelming power potential, but he puts the ball in play a lot and is willing to take his walks. Both of those things are likely to benefit him against Spencer Arrighetti, who doesn’t have great command against lefties.
Brandon Nimmo OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+102, DraftKings)
Despite entering play in a 3-for-21 slump, Nimmo has still cleared this number in 3 of his last 5 games. Nimmo will take his walks, he is a good situational hitter, and he is capable of driving the ball to the gaps on occasion. Hitting in the 3-hole directly behind a pair of lefties, he should have some chances to drive runs home.
