Hunter Brown OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-122, Novig)
Houston had to deploy 4 relievers on Tuesday to secure a win over the Braves, which might lead to manager Joe Espada asking Brown for some extra length on Wednesday.
Brown has worked into the 6th inning in each of his last 3 turns through the rotation, facing at least 24 batters in each of those starts. Atlanta has a potent offense, but they are one of the more aggressive lineups in the league against RHP, which can lead to quick outs if their balls in play aren’t finding holes.
This is good value on a talented pitcher to get at least 1 out in the 6th inning.
Will Warren UNDER 16.5 Outs Recorded (-102, FanDuel)+
FANDUELDuring the last 30 days, Warren has struggled to a 6.59 FIP across the platoon. Tonight, the Rockies have 6 LHB in their lineup.
Warren threw 98 pitches and faced 27 batters on August 30, so he’s stretched out to work deep into this ballgame. His early hook tonight will likely have more to do with his struggles against LHB and the Yankees having multiple rested southpaws available behind Warren on Wednesday.
Griffin Jax UNDER 14.5 Outs Recorded (-120, Caesars)
Jax hasn’t faced more than 17 batters, thrown more than 63 pitches, or completed more than 3 innings in a start since August 2nd. The Rays have been very careful monitoring pitcher workloads when guys are coming back from injuries. They have a fully rested arm barn heading into Wednesday’s action, which gives them plenty of options to cover innings if they don’t want to push Jax too aggressively.
