On Thursday, the MLB slate features only 6 games – 5 of which have afternoon start times — so bettors will need to get to the sportsbook a little bit earlier in the day if they want to get in on the action. First pitch in Tampa Bay and Cleveland is scheduled at 1:10 PM ET, with 3 more games spread throughout the rest of the late afternoon, followed by the Phillies against the Braves at 7:15 PM ET.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Thursday, April 10th!

Best MLB Player Props for Thursday, April 10th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:10 PM ET on Thursday, April 10th:

Ryan Feltner OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-120, FanDuel)

Feltner has been a five-and-dive guy in each of his first 2 starts this season, but Colorado is likely to do everything they can to get him into the 6th inning in this spot given yesterday’s bullpen usage. On Wednesday night, Angel Chivilli, Luis Peralta, Tyler Kinley, Victor Vodnik, and Seth Halvorsen each threw 15+ pitches, with the team’s 4 highest-leverage arms each throwing 19+ pitches. Milwaukee isn’t a particularly aggressive offense, so Feltner will need to pound the zone to be efficient here, but this could be worth a small afternoon wager if looking for some action.

Wilyer Abreu OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+105, DraftKings)

Opposing pitcher Chris Bassitt is off to a great start in 2025, but there isn’t much to suggest that he’s suddenly found a remedy for his extreme struggles against lefties. Last season, Bassitt struggled to a 5.33 FIP and 1.78 WHIP across the platoon. The season prior, he wasn’t much better, with a 5.42 FIP and 1.40 WHIP.

Abreu has been excellent this season, walking at a high rate and getting on base in exactly half of his trips to the plate. He should have an opportunity to drive in a run or get on base and then have one of his teammates help him get home.

Triston Casas OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+120, DraftKings)

Casas enters play with a .163 batting average and 30 wRC+, but there are reasons to be optimistic that he will turn things around soon. His bat speed remains excellent, and he’s still barrelling a lot of baseballs when he does make contact. He’s simply been chasing bad pitches out of the zone at a slightly elevated rate early in the season, which has hurt his walk rate and average contact-quality metrics.

The good news for Casas is that opposing pitcher Chris Bassitt hasn’t had great swing-and-miss stuff in recent seasons. Bassitt ranked in only the 10th percentile in chase rate in 2024 and 25th percentile in chase rate in 2023. Casas should be able to put a few balls in play, which gives him some good value at plus money in this betting market.
