Happy Wednesday! Major League Baseball had 8 afternoon games on the slate earlier today, but there are still 7 games left to get underway as of this writing, which means the betting community still has plenty of time to find a play or two to their liking for this evening.
As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.
Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat or unlucky if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Best MLB Player Props for Wednesday, June 11th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Wednesday, June 11th:
- Casey Mize Over/Under 4.5 Strikeouts
- Jack Leiter Over/Under 4.5 Hits Allowed
- Kris Bubic Over/Under 4.5 Hits Allowed
Casey Mize OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+100, DraftKings)
This season, Mize owns a 25.9% strikeout rate against left-handed batters compared to a 15.5% strikeout rate against right-handed batters. The good news for him on Wednesday is that Baltimore is running out a lineup with 6 lefties. Mize has consistently worked ahead in counts this year, which has helped him sequence well later in at bats. There is good value at even money.

Jack Leiter OVER 4.5 Hits Allowed (-135, DraftKings)
Leiter has allowed 3 hits or fewer in 5 of his last 6 starts, but it’s possible we could see a break in that trend this evening. Since May 8, Leiter owns a 2.91 ERA, but a 4.31 FIP and .191 BABIP indicate that he’s probably been more lucky than good of late. Across the last 14 days, the Twins’ offense ranks 3rd in baseball in batting average against right-handed pitching. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them put some pressure on Leiter.

Kris Bubic OVER 4.5 Hits Allowed (-160, BetMGM)
Bubic has some of the best stats in baseball among starting pitchers in 2025, but it remains to be seen how long he is able to sustain such success. Entering play on Wednesday, Bubic has benefited from a .220 BABIP and 92.2% LOB% during the last month of action despite allowing close to a league-average number of line drives. He draws a tough matchup against a strong New York lineup, which ranks 9th in wRC+ against southpaws during the last 14 days. It’s also worth noting that Bubic is on extended rest, which isn’t always a good thing for pitchers, who are creatures of habit. Bubic could struggle.
