Let’s begin with an Ultimate Fighter winner, Mairon Santos, looking to establish himself as a prospect to watch in the featherweight division.

Weight Class: 145lb. (Featherweight)
Mairon Santos (3-0) is still just 25 years of age, and he has already racked up 3 UFC victories across 2 weight divisions. You could critique his performance against Francis Marshall, which left a lot to be desired, but his win over Sodiq Yusuff at 155lbs signaled he was ready for a step up in competition.
Muhammad Naimov (5-1 UFC) is a physical Tajik fighter with decent wrestling and power in his punches. His UFC record has benefited from a relatively soft level of competition, some favorable refereeing against Nathaniel Wood, and a freak injury against Erik Silva. His path to victory in this matchup is finding a big punch to interrupt Santos’ rhythm. Otherwise, I suspect Naimov will need to walk a fine line managing his cardio while pursuing takedowns.
I can see Naimov securing takedowns early in this fight while he is fresh, but I struggle to see him matching the conditioning of his Brazilian adversary over the course of 15 minutes.
Prediction: Mairon Santos defeats Muhammad Naimov via Stoppage Rd. 2/3
