The octagon returns to Atlanta for the first time since 2019, and the stage is set for a welterweight showcase that promises fireworks. Welterweight great and former UFC champion Kamaru “The Nigerian Nightmare” Usman looks to return to championship form after a 3-fight skid saw him go from undefeated in the promotion to staring down the barrel of being outside of title contention. Across from him is one of the hungriest contenders in the welterweight division in the form of Joaquin Buckley. “New Mansa” started his UFC career as a middleweight, but he has found new life at welterweight, putting together a 6-0 run in his new weight class. The stakes are high in Atlanta, and the card is replete with interesting prospects and compelling matchups.

MMA DFS and Betting Breakdown: UFC Fight Night – Usman vs. Buckley
Jamey-Lyn Horth ($9,400) vs. Vanessa Demopoulos ($6,800)
Fight Odds: -620 Horth vs. +400 Demopoulos
Weight Class: W125lb. (Women’s Flyweight)
Jamey-Lyn Horth (2-2 UFC) should win this fight because she is much bigger and stronger than her opponent Vanessa Demopoulos (5-4 UFC), who accepted this bout on short notice after Tereza Bleda withdrew from her scheduled bout with Horth. I must admit that I have been disappointed by Horth’s UFC run. She looked very violent and aggressive on the regional scene, but she has yet to finish a UFC-level opponent, and she has not pressed her advantages enough even in wins like the fight with Petrovic (1-3 UFC) or the fight with Cowan (0-2 UFC). Horth losing to Miranda Maverick (8-2 UFC) and Veronica Hardy (4-5 UFC) I can forgive because those women have been having success in the division, and they’re both athletic flyweights. Demopoulos is undersized for the women’s strawweight division (115lb.), and she is going to be giving up 5” of height and 7” of reach against a more physical woman. If Horth doesn’t get meme subbed from the guard like a bonehead and she elects to throw offense on the feet, she should easily win this fight.
Prediction: Jamey-Lyn Horth defeats Vanessa Demopoulos via TKO/DEC
Ange Loosa ($8,400) vs. Phil Rowe ($7,800)
