What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?

h3budda: This fight could be slower-paced as a whole due to the more methodical striking of Jean Silva. He has the upside in this spot with the -120 inside-the-distance line. If you stack this, it may not get the aggression needed to pay off. I would be more apt to play Rafa Garcia, who constantly scores round after round. That is the better path on this slate.

Moneyball16: I don’t think I will be stacking this fight. We have 28 fighters to choose from, with some strong value plays, and this fight is unlikely to go the full 5 rounds (with odds of only +280). While I am expecting a good striking pace, I am not expecting much grappling. If you have a lean one way or another on the fight, I would say go for it and play that fighter, but both of these guys are only pretty good cash plays.

Bward586: While you certainly could fade Lopes in this fight based on the betting odds, I’m not as confident Silva starches him as the market implies. Lopes has never been finished or even knocked down in the UFC and has a grappling edge over Silva, who has been taken down by the grapplers he’s faced. I’ll be stacking this one based on Lopes’ floor, since the salary discount allows me to roster the other top plays.

LiamPicksFights: I don’t like the idea of stacking this fight. Silva has justified his salary in 4 of 5 UFC wins and put up 100+ 3 times, so he is my preferred click. Lopes makes some sense as a salary relief option because his win condition could be a finish or predicated on wrestling success. Lopes has only put up 100+ in 2 of 5 UFC wins. He needs KDs or TDs to make the optimal.

Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?

h3budda: Pereira/Rendon – These two ladies have a large range of outcomes in this fight. I expect the speed on the feet will be with Pereira, which means she could be striking at a distance. Rendon may try to go for takedowns. If she does, this will stall out for scoring purposes. This is the glaring fight on the slate that lacks pure finish equity.
