MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC 301 – Pantoja vs. Erceg
What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash?
eys819: I would definitely stack this one. The fight is favored to last into the 4th round, so we should have plenty of volume to produce a solid floor. Pantoja has scored over 140 DK points in each of his last two five-round fights, and we know he has a tremendous ceiling due to the takedown upside. Erceg has solid win equity for his price, and he would likely be optimal in any form of victory.
Moneyball16: I think they are the two best cash plays this week, and it is an easy stack. The fight has over 40% chance to go the full 5 rounds, and both these guys can strike with volume and grapple.
h3budda: This is an all-action flyweight bout that is expected to be competitive. It is +120 to go to a decision, and that makes for a nice floor on this slate. There isn’t much value on this slate to justify fading the stack. You will even have a nice floor even if there is grappling. I expect reversals and fast-paced scrambling.
squirrelpatrol: It’s absolutely a fight I would stack for cash. Pantoja has scored very well, with over 140 points in his last two 5-round wins, and this fight is favored to go over 3.5 rounds. Erceg is underpriced and has a realistic shot of winning the fight. I would stack and take the points that come from whoever wins the fight as well as the solid floor from the losing fighter.
Bward586: I’m tempted to just ride with the favorite Pantoja. His takedown-heavy style means he could limit Erceg’s scoring even in an extended fight, and I’m fairly confident that he’ll retain his belt. However, the lack of other options I feel great about in Erceg’s price range means I’ll probably end up stacking both.
