What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fights in cash games?
SquirrelPatrol: The co-main event is the exact kind of fight you want to stack, with Pennington and Pena expected to score over all 5 rounds and both fighters having a solid floor. The main event is the prototypical fight you don’t need to stack in cash, with lower volume and with it expected to end before the extra rounds.
h3budda: With two 5-round fights on this slate, you will need to make a decision. The main event is expected to finish early. You are taking main event favorite with the -350 inside the distance line. Pereira is not a great-paced fighter, but the finish equity will be a nice floor with his metrics. Raquel Pennington and Julianna Pena are locks for cash games. You are staring at an all-action fight with both ladies durable. The women are -230 to go to a decision. Without any true value plays you will want to go this direction.
Moneyball16: I would play Pereira and avoid Rountree from the first 5-rounder. This one is expected to last as long as a 3-rounder, and Rountree has very little win equity. On the other end, the Raquel Pennington/Pena fight is an elite fight to stack. Either side could easily win, and it is very likely to go the full 5 rounds (-235 odds to do just that).
Bward586: I typically try to avoid stacking both 5-round fights when there are two on the slate. Locking in two losses in your lineup means you almost have to be perfect with your other two picks, and it also limits upside. Fortunately, this card makes it easy to pick. The main event is -1100 to end inside the distance, with a heavy favorite in Alex Pereira. The co-main event is -245 to go all five rounds, with a reasonably close moneyline on both fighters. Stack the bantamweight title fight with Pereira.
Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?
