MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC 310 – Pantoja vs. Asakura

Who is your favorite fighter to spend up for in cash games?

h3budda: Pantoja
Moneyball16: Pantoja
Bward586: Rakhmonov
LiamPicksFights: Hooper

What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fights in cash games?

h3budda: There are two 5-round fights to work with for cash games. Stacking the flyweight bout is the way to go because you should be seeing constant action from start to finish. I expect a high volume of striking combined with grappling scrambles. The Shavkat/Garry fight is a little more tricky for cash games. I may not want a piece of Garry in this spot because he could be controlled.

Moneyball16: I would stack the Pantoja/Asakura fight since I am expecting a high-pace fight with okay odds to go the full 5 rounds. With the other fight, I am probably fading Garry in cash due to his low odds to win and because of how difficult it has been to score against Rakhmonov historically.

Bward586: Of the two, I strongly prefer the flyweight title fight between Kai Asakura and Alexandre Pantoja. While it’s slightly less likely to go the full 25 minutes, both fighters push a fast pace in terms of striking and grappling. The welterweight co-main event won’t score as well on a per-minute basis, so it’s easier to lock in the bulk of the points by picking the winner – and Rakhmonov is a heavy favorite. Ian Garry is unlikely to find a usable score without a win.

LiamPicksFights: I think picking a side is more likely to pay off than stacking either of these 5-round fights. A Shavkat optimal win likely is a dominant finish, while a Garry optimal win is probably a late finish or, more likely, a volume-based decision. If forced to stack one fight, it would be the main event. Theoretically, Pantoja can backpack to win rounds, and Asakura is always live for the KO. Pantoja has more paths to the optimal, but Asakura may have the higher ceiling on a KO1.

Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?
