What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
h3budda: Chimaev’s win condition will correlate to DDP not scoring well. This makes for a tough spot to stack. There are some lower weight classes that are expected to go to a decision. I will probably just take Chimaev alone, along with the likes of Elliott or Meerschaert. It’s a very tough spot for the cash game streets this week.
Moneyball16: I think Chimaev is a cash lock, but I could take or leave Du Plessis in cash. The odds of this one going 5 rounds are not great, and he is a 2-1 underdog to offset the nice potential floor that comes with a possible 25-minute fight or an upset.
Bward586: I’m a bit more optimistic on Du Plessis than the field, so I’ll be stacking this one. A scenario where DDP wins probably means an extended fight, where Chimaev scores points early and Du Plessis comes back late, making a stack a solid option. With that said, if you’re confident in Chimaev winning, then fading Du Plessis makes sense.
LiamPicksFights: Don’t love the idea of stacking here, but if you think DDP rallies late, then I suppose it could make sense. For me, Chimaev has big opportunities to dominate the positions early in this fight, and Du Plessis may be limited in his scoring opportunities as a result. I would pick a side in the main event, as both are proven scorers in wins.
