What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fights in cash games?
Moneyball16: I think this one is pretty easy. First, stack Shevchenko/Weili. It’s close to a 50/50 fight and is likely to go the full 25 minutes. I will be playing Islam Makhachev, and I don’t think I will be playing Jack Della Maddalena. JDM doesn’t give you much win equity, and Makhachev’s dominance and style makes him very hard to score against. I would start with those 3 and Wellmaker and go from there.
Bward586: This is an interesting call. The co-main event is an auto stack, both by virtue of the extremely close lines/salaries as well as the strong odds to go all 25 minutes. I could see a case for fading either member of the main event though, depending on which other fighters you prioritize. I view both as similar values relative to their salaries and have built lineups with either. However, there’s more comparable value close to JDM’s price point, making him the easier fade.
LiamPicksFights: I like the idea of stacking the co-main event this week because both women pursue takedowns, and they are willing to work from control positions. We also get a 70% indication that this fight will go 5 rounds, and we save salary on a tough slate for finding dogs. If Islam Makhachev is going to justify his tag, he likely needs to collect another submission or a dominant wrestling win that would limit JDM’s scoring upside. I would recommend picking a side in the main event, which is favored to end inside the distance at a greater than 60% clip.

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
