What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
Moneyball16: On most weeks, this would be a pretty good stack, with high odds to go the full 5 rounds. However, I think it’s best to only play Wang Cong in cash. The fight should be fought at a pretty low-scoring pace based on these fighters’ previous fights, and there are just some slate dynamics to consider. Marcus McGhee is in the same price range as Silva but is a huge favorite because he is fighting a late replacement fighter, so he takes a spot in the lineup at a similar price point, and then the slate just has a number of huge favorites that make for a safer cash play than Silva to pay up for.
Bward586: This is a tough call given the salary dynamics of the slate. Stacking this one along with McGhee makes it nearly impossible to get two of the top four fighters, all of whom have tremendous upside. However, both project well from a value standpoint, given the likelihood of a 5-round fight. Moneyball’s answer of passing on Silva in favor of McGhee at a cheaper price ultimately swayed me, though, and you could even stack that fight for $15,200, $1,000 cheaper than the standard stack price.
