What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
h3budda: Overall, this is a very tricky slate to build comfortable lineups on. I think you look at the safety of this over 3.5 rounds at -110 and take that floor. You should see volume striking from both guys as long as this fight goes. The real problem is if Taira takes the back early to kill off any scoring ability from Park. I believe you just lock the stack in on this one.
Moneyball16: It’s not the best 5-rounder for cash we’ve ever seen. It has mediocre odds to go the full 5 rounds, and Park doesn’t have much of a shot to win, but ultimately, I am not seeing a better route in cash.
Bward586: Taira brings plenty of takedown upside, and we need the salary savings provided by Park, who is a competent enough grappler that he’s unlikely to get finished early. Unless you’re extremely confident in a couple of midrange fighters, I don’t see any reason not to stack the flyweight main event.
LiamPicksFights: Don’t love this 5-rounder for stacking. I think you need to pick a piece of the main event and build the rest of your lineup around it. Taira has put up 76+ in every UFC appearance and has shown 100+ point upside against higher-level competition than Park, so I prefer his side. Park is a proven scorer in his wins and offers salary relief, but it is a massive step up in competition on short notice. He could gas or get overwhelmed on the ground.
Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?
h3budda: Yan/McGhee – Both of these fighters are very durable and lack the inside-the-distance odds that you would like to see on this slate. You are relying on volume striking to pay off either of their salaries.
