MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC Fight Night – Allen vs. Curtis 2
There are two women’s fights on this card. Given that women fighters have lower GPP ownership, which fighter (if any) are you most interested in for GPPs?
eys819: Germaine de Randemie – I don’t think there is much upside in either of these fights, so I will side with an underdog. de Randamie has an easier path to put up a score that matters compared to her more expensive opponent, and she has significantly more win equity than Cornolle.
Moneyball16: Dumont – For me this, is the best of a bad group of 4. Cornolle lacks win equity, I don’t think Mullins’ style creates DFS scoring and she is expensive, and GDR has a long history of poor-scoring fights, and has 0 takedowns in over 100 minutes in the ring- that’s a big problem in a fight that’s very likely to go to a decision.
h3budda: Mullins – This is a BJJ ace who has to get it to the mat to find success in this fight. She will have a lot of control time because her opponent has a glaring weakness on the mat. I really like the upside for her at lower ownership.
squirrelpatrol: Germaine de Randamie – GDR is a former UFC champion making her return to the octagon after more than three years off. She has multiple first-round KO wins on her resume, so if she is fully back, she has upside at a low price. Even if she isn’t able to put up a monster score, the line has moved in her favor, and any kind of win could land her on the winning lineup.
Bward586: Nora Cornolle. She’s won six of her seven pro wins by knockout and was the #2-ranked muay thai fighter in her weight class before transitioning to MMA. She’s taking on Melissa Mullins, who was knocked down by a grappler in her UFC debut. Since she’s one of the largest underdogs on the card, she should come in at fairly low ownership, but she has more upside than the other women’s fighters.
