MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC Fight Night – Barboza vs. Murphy

What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash?

eys819: I would stack this fight in cash since it has tight odds and is favored to last at least 4 rounds. Value is difficult to come by on this slate, so the potential extra rounds for Barboza push him to the top of the underdog options. Murphy may lack pure upside, but again, the floor provided by a potential extra round or two of scoring makes him a solid cash play.

Moneyball16: This one has pretty good odds to go the full 5 rounds, and it is pretty close to a coin flip. Normally, those would make this an easy stack, but for his price, Murphy really doesn’t have much win equity. At just a few hundred dollars more, you can get a really heavy favorite with upside, someone like Piera Rodriguez or Magomedov, so with the weird price points on the slate, I think you can stack or not here.

h3budda: A smaller slate and the tight pricing forces you to stack this main event. Another bonus is it is +110 to go to a decision, which locks in a nice 4-5 round floor for scoring purposes. You should have constant striking output over those rounds. Stack and move on.

squirrelpatrol: With almost even odds to go the full five rounds and not many appealing options at the very low end of the price range, this is a fight I would stack for cash, . Lerone Murphy isn’t always the highest scorer, but he doesn’t need to be for cash games at his price.

Bward586: Given the smaller fight card this week and the high output of both fighters, this one feels like a no-brainer for cash games. Murphy has upside thanks to his offensive grappling, while Barboza has power and a high activity rate. This fight should at least see the championship rounds, which gives both fighters a solid floor as well
