MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC Fight Night – Blanchfield vs. Fiorot

With a handful of fighters in the $9,000 range projecting as strong options, do you prefer a ‘stars and scrubs’ build with cheap fighters, or trying to take a more balanced approach that could be more contrarian?

eys819: Ruziboev is the only fighter in the $9,000 range I am certain I will play at a higher rate than the field. I also think 3-underdog builds are very viable on this slate even with the upside of Aslan at $8,300. I am likely to live more in the middle range while not being afraid to leave some salary on the table.

Moneyball16: I typically think it’s better game theory to go balanced generally, and I don’t think it is any different here. None of the fighters above $9,000 have amazing takedown ability, and there are a number of huge upside plays that are cheaper.

h3budda: There’s many ways to go when building with these $9,000 fighters. In the middle range, people will autoclick the two values that have the heavy favorite inside the distance. That means that people will be focused on middle range builds. I think I will muster up the energy to play two sub $7,000 fighters to get some stars in fading the middle. Granted it is scary, you will have an edge on the field by doing this.

Bward586: I plan on building more “top heavy” builds this week, partially because of the strength of the expensive fighters and partially because of the cheaper appealing options. Fiorot and Petroski both have solid value for their cost with potentially high upside, with some fringe options (McKee, Landwehr) also having a shot at the optimal lineup thanks to their fighting styles. This makes builds featuring two of the expensive fighters much easier to get to.

What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash?
