MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC Fight Night – Cannonier vs. Borralho
What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
SquirrelPatrol: This is a 12-fight card that feels even smaller with some of the lopsided lines and prices, so I think it’s best to take the relatively safe floor of both sides of the main event. This fight is even odds to go over 4.5 rounds, so we’ll likely get the extra points from the bonus rounds, and the winning fighter will have the opportunity to put up a good score for their price.
h3budda: There are not a lot of underdogs with value or paths to scoring over 3 rounds. You are locking in a fight that is -110 to go over 4.5 rounds on a tricky slate. There is a world where Borralho blankets Cannonier and limits the upside, but you are trying to get the floor out of this fight. The pace will be very good in this fight with both having their moments.

Moneyball16: I’m not going to stack this one in cash. Cannonier has lower win odds than every fighter who is $7,400 or more expensive. Fighters like Ricci and Buzukja are quite cheap relative to their expected win odds as alternatives. Cannonier has shown some grappling upside in recent fights but has a long history of going for more low-upside fights, and I’m not sure if he will want to grapple with Borralho. Borralho is a cash lock on the other side.
Bward586: While it’s certainly not my favorite fight to stack, on a 12-fight slate without a lot of “safe” feeling options, I’ll likely be going that route. The fight is essentially a toss-up to go at least 4.5 rounds, so we should hit the championship rounds fairly easily. I’d like a bit more activity rate from Cannonier, but there’s a decent shot he grapples here, and at $7,600, we don’t need a high score from him.
Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?
