What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?

h3budda: There’s not so much value on this slate that I would avoid the stack. You are locking in a potentially competitive women’s MMA fight that is -200 to go to a decision. There is a great floor with high upside on the winner’s side. The pricing is right to easily stack and grab some chalk plays with finishing equity.

Moneyball16: It’s probably a stack, with the fight expected to go to the full 5 rounds, but with so many fights, there are alternative routes to a cash game lineup. I would definitely play Ribas, as Dern has shown that she can be scored against despite being a strong opponent. I could take or leave playing Dern.

Bward586: On a 14-fight card, it’s not absolutely necessary, but both women provide a fairly solid floor since the fight is -200 to go all 5 rounds. There’s an argument that fading Dern makes sense. She’s unlikely to land many takedowns against a stronger wrestler in Ribas, and she historically doesn’t have a ton of striking output. However, unless there are other cheap options you’re comfortable with, it makes the most sense to take the easy stack.

LiamPicksFights: I don’t like the idea of stacking this main event. The last time these women fought, Ribas washed Dern to the tune of 2 takedowns to 0 takedowns and 74 significant strikes to 20 (the biggest negative differential of Dern’s career). Either Dern has improved enough to get takedowns (or land with power), or she is likely to get rinsed again over 5 rounds.

Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?
