What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
h3budda: This main event is -140 to go to a decision. I really think you’re getting a nice floor by targeting this fight. The weight class alone guarantees constant action. Pace alone should make stacking this an obvious play in cash game formats.
Moneyball16: This is probably a stack. It has good odds (-128) to go the full 5 rounds and should provide a solid floor. If you want to make a change, I wouldn’t do it with Asu Almabayev, given his grappling upside, but I do think it’s possible to play cash games without Manel Kape. He doesn’t have the same win equity as fighters priced around him, and while facing weaker competition, Almabayev has been very hard to score against in his first 4 UFC fights.
Bward586: It’s a relatively small slate (12 fights) with a main event that’s favored to go to a decision. We should also get solid per-minute scoring from both fighters, with Kape’s striking and Almabayev’s grappling. I’m certainly going to stack this in cash games and will consider stacking it in a small chunk of my GPP lineups as well.
LiamPicksFights: With such a limited slate, rostering both sides of the main event seems extremely viable, particularly in cash games. Almabayev could have wrestling success in spurts even if he loses the decision or gets finished late.
