What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
h3budda: There’s a case for not stacking this main event due to Prates’ early finishing equity. He would really prevent the floor of +100 for over 3.5 rounds. I think you should stack this due to the competitive nature of it. You will have constant action for as long as it goes. Your two value plays in Flick and Young will be interesting in cash games.
Moneyball16: I think this is a relatively easy stack. There is limited grappling upside and only okay odds of going the full 5 rounds, but this fight is essentially a pick’em, so I think you want both sides of this—especially when there is some striking-output upside.
Bward586: I default to stacking 5-round fights when there’s only one on the slate, but I could see a case for fading Garry if you prefer fighters in his range. He’s not a great per-minute scorer and is very unlikely to pick up a quick finish. If Prates wins, it probably comes early, so there’s a risk of missing out on a huge score there. I’m not going out of my way to fade him, but it’s not a must-play either.
LiamPicksFights: I understand the argument for stacking here because they have 5 rounds to work and the fight could be competitive, but I see Prates as a proven finisher with limited output. Garry will probably look to clinch and wear out his opponent, which could be an anti-scoring approach. I prefer picking a side in the main event and hoping for a Prates KO or a Garry clinch domination.
