MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC Fight Night – Moicano vs. Duncan
Who is your favorite fighter to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Yakhyaev
Bward586: Yakhyaev
LiamPicksFights: Yakhyaev
Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?
Moneyball16: Delano / Ruchala – Combined, these fighters have 1 UFC fight and 1 Contender Series fight, so we don’t have a ton of information on them. However, from what I have found, there isn’t a reason to think it’s going to be an especially high-scoring fight. First of all, it is pretty likely to go to a decision at -118. Also, the price points for these fighters just aren’t great. Delano is surrounded by high-upside fighters, while if you can just find a little more salary, you can find underdogs with considerably higher win odds than Ruchala.
Bward586: Gatto / Barbosa – All three women’s fights are pretty weak DFS options, but at least there is a case that one (or both) of Ricci or Jandiroba can land takedowns, while Pereira, in theory, is a high-volume striker. We do not get either of those upside cases in Gatto / Barbosa, which is equally unlikely to end inside the distance.
LiamPicksFights: I do not like the idea of stacking this main event. Either guy can finish or be finished early. I think you need to pick a side in this main event, as both guys are proven scorers in their wins. Moicano is my preferred option. I think he is more likely to finish early (front-loaded win condition), he offers salary relief ($7,400), and he has scored 95 or more points in each of his last 8 UFC wins. Duncan’s upside is his 15% leverage to the field (35% projected ownership compared to 50%).
What is your hot take for this event?
