What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
h3budda: You could build a decent lineup not stacking because of the 14-fight context. For safety, you are looking at Moicano’s durability to get you a safer floor. The problem here is that the under 2.5 rounds is juiced to -200. With all that said, I may avoid stacking. Look toward the likes of Ziam, Altamairano, or Cornolle to get salary relief for building cash games.
LiamPicksFights: Benoit Saint-Denis has had a lot of success striking out of the Southpaw stance in the UFC, and Moicano has been a huge liability (dropped vs. Turner & RDA). Moicano has some wrestling and grappling upside, but if he is unable to get takedowns, he is likely to get hurt and finished in the first three rounds. I would pick one or the other, B.S.D. being my personal selection. I believe he has more early finish equity, and both men are dominant top players, so if B.S.D. gets takedowns, he can be the highest scorer on the slate.
Bward586: This is a tricky one. It’s a fairly binary fight, where Saint-Denis could pick up an early stoppage, or he could gas out and get finished in the middle rounds. That gives both fighters big upside but fairly limited floors. Missing out on the winner probably tanks your lineup, but taking the low score from the loser comes with plenty of opportunity cost. I’m leaning towards stacking personally, but if there are alternative fighters near either in salary, it would make sense to just play one.

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
