MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC Fight Night – Moreno vs. Albazi
Who is your favorite fighter to spend up for in cash games?
h3budda: Malott
Moneyball16: Moreno
Bward586: Malott
LiamPicksFights: Malott
What are your thoughts about stacking the two 5-round fights in cash games?
h3budda: There are two 5-round fights on this slate. I believe both have incredible floors to buy into for cash. The flyweight main event is -200 (DraftKings Sportsbook) to go to a decision. The women’s 5-round fight (Blanchfield/Namajunas) is -250 to go to a decision. I believe you lock these four in and move on.
Moneyball16: I think the Blanchfield/Namajunas fight is a stack since it has -250 odds (DraftKings Sportsbook) to go the full 5 rounds. Moreno and Albazi have good odds of going the full 5 rounds too (-200), but these fighters have historically fought at a poor pace for DFS scoring. Albazi has poor win odds for his price, with three cheaper fighters more likely to pick up a win, so I would only play Moreno in cash from that fight.

Bward586: While both fights are favored to go to the judges’ scorecards, I’m not sure that the main event provides enough per-minute scoring to be worth stacking. Both Moreno and Albazi have roughly 60% significant strike defense in what should be a mostly stand-up affair. On the other hand, the co-main event should feature more grappling with Blanchfield and a higher striking output. My plan is to stack that fight while taking a stand on Moreno in the main event.
LiamPicksFights: The main event presents a ton of unknowns with multiple surgeries on Albazi, and Moreno’s motivation is hard to read. Namajunas and Blanchfield seem to have a better dynamic for scoring. Rose has KO / club-and-sub upside and is not a bad wrestler in her own right. Blanchfield has SUB equity, takedown upside, and cage control time she can bank on. That fight should be high scoring.
Which fight are you most likely to avoid and why?
